Hi there. My name is Dave. I used to have ulcerative colitis until I had my colon removed in 2013. In late 2014 my j pouch was created. Now there is no disease…
Since then I have never felt so good and have started Sharp Edge Adventures with the hope that I can spend my life doing the things I love rather than sitting behind a desk. My main interests are hiking, running and cycling. I am currently training for my mountain leader award and then after that who knows. If you want to head out to the mountains then get in touch and we will book in a trip.
Nice to meet you, Dave! Thanks for sharing your fitness journey, as well as the follow š
Nice to meet you too!
Hi! I nominated you for a Liebster Award because I really enjoy reading about your journey and find you incredibly motivated. If you’d like to participate, please check it out here: http://ginismycomfortfood.com/2015/01/28/the-liebster-award/
Woohoo! Awesome! Thank you! I will definitely do it. Watch this space…
I’ll be looking forward to it š
Sorry if I lured you in with the “running” tag in my last post. Guess I should stick with “writing” “fiction” and “action scenes”. My characters run around a lot more than I do. I do agree with GinIsMyComfortFood, though. You blog is very polished. Keep up the good work and good luck at Hampton Court.
Hi Kathleen, I was definitely hooked by the running tag but conveniently I also happen to be a bit of a sci-fi enthusiast. Both on paper and on screen so it has turned out well in the end! I will need a quiet day at work to go back and read about this hover craft full of eels!
Hi there! I am so glad you found me and decided to press the “Follow” button – thanks! It means a lot to me! Mostly because it means I found your page and – wow, it’s inspiring!! As a runner with Exercise-Induced-Asthma I know a little about challenges when it comes to doing what we love so much but that’s nothing like what you’re pulling off! I feel blessed to be able to follow your journey through your blog! Great stuff!
Well thank you very much! That’s very kind and I’m glad I can help encourage you. To be honest I randomly found you but enjoydd your writing which is why I now follow you. Asthma and running definitely seem like a pretty difficult combo. I’m pretty sure breathing is fairly crucial! I hope it continues to go well and I look forward to reading more š
